Aiden was admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in February 2022 and joined Hegarty Legal in August 2022.

Prior to commencing his employment with Hegarty Legal, Aiden completed an internship with a multinational financial institution to assist with corporate and financial compliance matters. Further, Aiden completed a placement at a human rights legal service where he was able to further develop his interest in the application of law and litigation.

Aiden graduated from Macquarie University in 2021 where he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts majoring in International Business and Bachelor of Laws with Second-class Honours.

During his time at Hegarty Legal, Aiden has had the opportunity to work on a range of matters including insolvency, commercial litigation, succession, and property law with solicitors in the District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales.

Relevant experience

  • Assist in preparation for Public Examinations in the Supreme Court of NSW.

  • Researching legislation and case law in relation to various succession, property, insolvency, and corporate matters in both the District Court and Supreme Courts of NSW.

  • Drafting Orders for production, summons and originating process, defences, bankruptcy notices and notices of motion.

  • Drafting Affidavits and compiling exhibits for Supreme Court of NSW matters.

  • Prepare advice for succession, property, insolvency, and corporate matters such as the rights and duties of  statutory trustees under the Conveyancing Act 1919 (NSW) and liquidators.

  • Prepare advice on management processes for compliance with obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth).
