Thomas graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2019 with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws.

Before joining Hegarty Legal, Thomas worked as an analyst for a registered liquidator and was involved in all facets of formal insolvency appointments, as well as consulting work. During this time, Thomas completed his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, and was admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2022.

Since joining Hegarty Legal in 2023, Thomas has been involved in a wide range of matters.

 

Relevant experience

​

• Assisting with complex litigation for the recovery of voidable transactions.

• Advising a bankruptcy trustee in relation to the estate’s interest in real property.

• Advising a debtor in relation to the preparation of a composition pursuant to section 73 of the Bankruptcy Act; and advising a liquidator in relation to the sale of company assets and preparing the accompanying asset sale agreement.
